9-Day Kenya & Tanzania Grand Safari: Maasai Mara to Serengeti

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

After pick-up at your hotel, you’ll depart for Maasai Mara in the morning. Stop over at the great rift valley view point then continue to Masai town Narok for lunch. On arrival in the camp, you’ll rest then go for the Maasai village. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Enchoro Wildlife camp.

Day 2: Full-day game drive in Maasai Mara

You’ll have an early morning game drive then breakfast. After breakfast, you’ll go the full-day game drive till lunchtime when you’ll have lunch and relax. Later in the afternoon, proceed for more game drives in search of wild animals. Alternatively, you can do full-day game drives with packed lunch. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast in Maasai Mara, you will have optional interaction with the Maasai people then later check out and drive to Nakuru. Lunch will be served enroute. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Afternoon spend relaxing at your hotel in Nakuru with optional activities such as swimming. You will have full board accommodation at Buraha zenoni hotel & Resort.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

Have breakfast then proceed for about 4-hour game drive at lake Nakuru later check out of the park and drive to Naivasha, you will have lunch enroute and then afternoon relax at the hotel with optional boat ride. Dinner and overnight will be at Leisure Apex hotel.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Nairobi 

After breakfast, enjoy a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park. Later, check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport — marking the end of your memorable 5-day safari.

Day 6: Nairobi to Arusha-Tanzania

You will have breakfast in the morning and be picked up around 7:30 am, and transferred to the shuttle bus stage. Later, you’ll depart for the Namanga border exchange visa and proceed to Arusha. You will arrive in the afternoon, check in at Charity hotel, and have a short rest. Then, you’ll have dinner and stay overnight at the same hotel.

Day 7: Arusha-Serengeti National Park

You’ll depart after breakfast and drive to Serengeti National Park. You will pass by the viewpoint and arrive in Serengeti, and start a wildlife viewing drive with a picnic lunch. Later, you’ll drive to the camp/lodge, where your tent will be pitched for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Serengeti-Ngorongoro

You’ll have an early morning breakfast and depart for the day with a packed lunch. You will have a game drive across the park with high chances of seeing the Big Five. Lunch will be a picnic. Later, you will check out of the park and drive to the highlands of Ngorongoro, check in at the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Ngorongoro-Arusha

You’ll have breakfast, then drive to the Ngorongoro Crater floor, where you will see plenty of animals. After the game drive, you will check out and drive to Arusha with a drop off at the airport.
