3-Day Tanzania Safari – Lake Manyara & Ngorongoro Crater

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
After morning pick-up from your Arusha hotel, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Embark on an afternoon game drive through this diverse park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, hippos, and thousands of flamingos (seasonal). Explore groundwater forests and open plains teeming with wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge near Lake Manyara.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, ascending to the crater rim with breathtaking views. After lunch at your lodge, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers the highest wildlife density in Africa—spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, endangered black rhinos, hippos, and countless antelopes against the backdrop of the ancient caldera walls. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge on the crater rim.

Day 3: Ngorongoro to Arusha
Enjoy a final sunrise over the crater before breakfast. Later, depart for the drive back to Arusha, passing through traditional Maasai villages and stunning landscapes. You’ll arrive in Arusha in the early afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport—concluding your short but unforgettable Tanzania safari.
